About The Position

Join Lentegrity as a Payroll Processing Specialist! We are seeking a detail‑oriented Payment Processing Specialist to join our Loan Servicing team. This role is responsible for processing check deposits, applying payments accurately and timely within our servicing system, and reconciling payments from multiple sources. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment requiring accuracy and collaboration—particularly with our Accounting and IT teams.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of payment processing or accounting experience within the auto finance industry
  • Intermediate working knowledge of NACHA rules and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem ‑ solving abilities
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Deposit all check payments accurately and on a timely basis
  • Apply payments to the servicing system in accordance with designated payment distribution rules
  • Perform daily reconciliation of payments received from all sources and deliver reports to Accounting within internal service level agreements
  • Apply lockbox payments accurately and timely
  • Reverse and reapply payments when corrections are required
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure month ‑ end account data integrity and make corrections as needed
  • Waive fees in accordance with company policy
  • Manage unapplied payments queues and ensure proper application
  • Process unwinds, net funds, loan modifications, and loan restructures
  • Review NSF Fee Exception reports to confirm proper fee assessment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
