About The Position

Salary Grade: 11 Salary Range: $19.52 - $31.43/hour depending on experience FLSA: Nonexempt Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned. Performs payroll duties; reviews and enters timesheets into timekeeping system; monitors and maintains time sheet records and leave reports; prints and reviews payroll registers; and makes corrections and submits to payroll office. Performs personnel duties; educates staff on payroll/personnel policies and procedures; and assists management and supervisors with technical and administrative issues. Prepares Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests; processes FMLA and Donation of Leave requests; ensures leave is used as approved; and maintains related documentation and records. Performs insurance duties; receives and responds to disputes relating to benefit eligibility; processes employee documents concerning benefits; and works with various insurance vendors. Serves as a primary contact with Human Resources, Payroll, Information Technology and Workers’ Compensation on a variety of payroll/personnel processing matters. Approves adjustments or corrections for work/leave time or Workers’ Compensation; and monitors employees on- the-job injuries and exposure reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years of experience in payroll, insurance or human resources
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
