About The Position

We are seeking a high-caliber, analytical, and seasoned Payroll Professional to lead our multi-country payroll operations. This is not just a data-entry role; it is a critical position requiring a master of compliance, a technical expert in ADP Workforce Now, and a specialist capable of navigating the nuances of U.S. Multi-State, Canadian, and Chilean payroll landscapes. The role will report to the Senior Payroll Manager within the Human Resources Operations team. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses an "audit-ready" mindset, and excels at streamlining complex processes through automation.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in multi-state payroll processing; at least 4 years focused on payroll tax.
  • International Expertise: Hands-on experience processing Canadian and Chilean payroll is highly preferred or required for this role.
  • Technical Mastery: Expert-level Excel skills are mandatory (X-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Data Validation). Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a significant plus.
  • Analytical Rigor: A track record of solving complex payroll discrepancies and managing high-volume, conflicting priorities with diplomacy.
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex tax and payroll concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing company-issued Stock Plans and equity vesting.
  • System experience with Workday Payroll .
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus given our Chilean operations.

Responsibilities

  • Global Payroll Execution: Lead the end-to-end processing of multi-state U.S. payroll, alongside our Canadian and Chilean payroll cycles. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and country-specific statutory deductions.
  • Compliance & Tax Administration: Maintain rigorous compliance with Federal, state, local, and international (Canada/Chile) tax and wage & hour laws. This includes registering in new jurisdictions and managing year-end reporting (W-2s, T4s, etc.).
  • Equity & Benefit Management: Calculate and withhold taxes related to stock option exercises and equity vesting. Manage complex benefit deductions and ensure accurate mapping to the General Ledger.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Perform full-cycle payroll reconciliation, including journal entries and General Ledger (GL) audits. Coordinate funding requests with Treasury and ensure Sox compliance controls are met.
  • Process Innovation: Actively identify opportunities for automation within our ADP and Workday environments to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and business partner queries, providing exceptional customer service and project management support.
