A Typical DayManage Company-wide payroll preparation and distribution – Hilmar, Dalhart, and Kansas locations. Responsible for overseeing accurate and timely Payroll processing in compliance with government regulations. Responsible for data integrity within Workforce Timekeeping Program, ADP Payroll, Schwab 401k Deferral and Match deposit file etc.Job Responsibilities Oversee bi-weekly payroll; special payments, 401k wire, tax deposits, ACH file transmittal, etc. Lead a high-performing Payroll team comprised of one Payroll Processing Specialist. Manage relationship with the company’s external payroll service provider to ensure payroll production is accurate, timely, and efficient. Lead Payroll related system administration, troubleshooting, implementation, configuration, and integration while partnering with Human Resources and IT to facilitate cross-departmental needs. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to improve efficiencies in payroll processing. Validate federal and state quarterly and annual report. Reconcile tax returns, state, federal (IRS), and SSA (Social Security Administration). Work cross functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders (HR, Legal, IT, Benefits, and external service providers) providing payroll related support. Participate in scheduled annual audits and audit requests as needed. Perform special projects as needed. Maintain regulatory updates and detailed policy/procedures. Maintain the General Ledger account structure.
