GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is an emergency response entity, and this status can affect working hours, travel, and change in duties as needed. The Payroll & Finance Business Liaison under general direction provides semi-complex payroll accounting services for TDEM. Work may include but is not limited to payroll accounting, fiscal analysis, timekeeping, leave reporting, time and effort, and monthly payroll corrections. Collaborates with representatives to coordinate the timely submission of internal, local, intra-system, and/or state reports. Provides support for special projects, ad-hoc and misc. management reports, account analysis, reconciliation, and fiscal review. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Salary is a fixed rate. This position is located on-site and not subject to telecommuting.
