About The Position

As our (Hybrid) Payroll Coordinator, you will be processing payroll for over 1,500 team members across 22 states. You will be responsible for providing support with processing and managing multi-state payroll, working closely with the Payroll Manager. This role works collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise to maximize efficiency and productivity. The position requires acute attention to detail and the ability to ensure tasks are accomplished correctly and on time while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. This position is a temporary assignment with the potential for permanent employment following a 90-day trial period.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 products, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and succinctly.
  • Productive and efficient in planning and executing work with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Strong detail orientation, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused approach to respond to the needs of team members.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • May be required on occasion to work a weekend if a holiday falls during a payroll week.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timecards are approved and processed within documented timelines.
  • Ensuring time off requests are approved and processed within documented timelines.
  • Accurately recording and documenting payroll adjustments, as directed and approved by the Payroll Manager.
  • Processing the full payroll cycle using ADP Workforce Now or Workday
  • Assisting with researching, analyzing, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Running audit reports to ensure proper taxation for lived-in/worked-in states.
  • Assisting with conducting year-end reporting for W-2s and other required documents.
  • Working with the Payroll Manager regarding any necessary payroll changes or updates needed.
  • Remaining in compliance with all federal and state legal and institutional requirements.
  • Managing various state employment reports.
  • Processing verification of employment.
  • Processing garnishments and related requests.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and company information.
  • Assisting with administrative duties and special projects as needed.
