Blue Compass RV, based out of Fort Lauderdale, is a rapidly expanding RV company with over 100+ RV dealerships nationwide. They are seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for managing the semi-monthly payroll cycle for multi-state employees, preparing internal and external payroll reports, assisting with commission calculations, addressing payroll inquiries, analyzing payroll issues, and ensuring compliance with state and federal wage and labor laws, while also maintaining proper documentation.

Requirements

3+ years of California payroll experience
Excellent communication/organization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite to include Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.
Intermediate Excel skills to include use of pivot tables, xlookups, etc.
Self-starter, great work ethic, and commitment to organizational success
Exemplary business ethics, professionalism, and integrity
Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

2+ years of payroll dealership experience
College Degree
Experience in processing payroll in Paylocity

Responsibilities

Process beginning to end semi-monthly payroll cycle of multi-state employees to ensure timely completion
Prepare payroll reporting internally and externally
Assist in commission review and calculations
Address payroll inquiries from employees and management
Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate action plans
Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and labor laws
Ensure documentation is retained per legal requirements and company policy
