About The Position

The Payroll Auditor will assist the domestic payroll team in processing multi-state payroll for Abercrombie & Fitch. This role involves direct collaboration with the Human Resources team to manage new hire information, store transfers, compensation adjustments, terminations, and more. The Payroll Auditor will also support payroll compliance processes and procedures, researching and resolving any issues in accordance with Abercrombie & Fitch policies and local laws. This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in Payroll or Administration preferred
  • Familiarity with Workday HCM and Payroll
  • ADP payroll system experience
  • Strong ability to research and resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent analytical skills and effective communication with customers
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Exceptional time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Audit new hire information, compensation, benefits, state and local tax jurisdictions, rehire information, and transfers between stores/locations
  • Process replacement and termination checks
  • Calculate and produce retroactive and adjustment payments
  • Review reports and investigate variances for resolution, including minimum wage compliance, overtime calculations, proper deductions, and benefit time.
  • Process bonuses and short-term disability payments
  • Generate designated pre-audit and post-audit reports
  • Address associate pay inquiries through ServiceCloud
  • Review garnishments and involuntary deductions for compliance
  • Conduct pre-audits on assigned stores and review another auditor’s work post-audit
  • Maintain time and attendance records
  • Perform ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor for each pay period.
