About The Position

The Payroll & Financial Operations Specialist supports the financial and administrative operations of Anovaeon’s programs by managing payroll processing, timekeeping coordination, invoicing support, accounts payable activities, and benefits-related administrative functions. This role works closely with human resources, program leadership, and corporate finance personnel to ensure accurate payroll processing, proper timekeeping documentation, and timely financial reporting related to workforce operations. The Payroll & Financial Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately, program financial records are maintained, and operational financial processes run smoothly. The position reports to the Director of Human Resources and collaborates with program leadership and finance personnel to support program financial administration.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping systems
  • Understanding of payroll compliance and workforce compensation practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll-related data management
  • Ability to manage confidential financial and employee information
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate across HR, finance, and operational teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing, financial administration, or workforce financial operations
  • Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms required
  • Experience supporting government programs or operational workforces preferred
  • Experience working with invoicing, accounts payable, or financial reporting preferred
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the following screening: Federal background investigation (up to and including a Tier 4 DHS clearance) Criminal history check Verification of employment and education history Compliance with all government credentialing requirements Drug screening
  • Employees must adhere to all federal security, confidentiality, and operational protocols while working within government facilities.
  • Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods while conducting data entry and interviews
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during facility operations (up to 8-12 hours per shift)
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions
  • Capability to work in varied environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, temperature variations)
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations throughout the facility
  • Visual acuity for detailed computer work and document review
  • Auditory ability to conduct interviews and monitor facility for safety concerns
