Join Our Team in the Prepared Foods Division as a Payroll and Cost Accountant! As the go-to person for specific financial reporting and related tasks, you will work with all levels of the plant management team. This is a multi-tasking environment where your attention to detail can really shine and make a difference. Cross-training will be done in areas assigned by the Controller to include daily production posting and line efficiency analysis. Hours of work will be determined by the workload necessary on different days of the accounting period. Difficulty of Duties This position's work is extremely varied and requires the interpretation of data from multiple sources and a keen eye for detail. Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating with others. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate with varied groups of people.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing payroll experience required with 1+ years of cost analysis experience being highly preferred.
  • Requires intermediate computer skills, including the full suite of Microsoft Office products, especially advanced Excel techniques. Experience with SAP and a computer-based inventory warehouse management system is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills, and be able to act as a decision maker.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll information.
  • Highly recommended to reside within a reasonable driving distance to the facility as this position must be onsite 5 days a week.
  • Work hours begin at 6:30AM (PST), Monday – Friday.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting : Compile financial and statistical data while meeting deadlines.
  • Payroll Accounting : Provide support for all payroll duties within the facility
  • Manufacturing Accounting : Learn multiple aspects of manufacturing accounting, such as product costing.
  • Data Gathering : Gather production and financial information to prepare daily and weekly results.
  • Inventory Support : Provide support to the physical inventory processes and assist in conducting self-audit procedures.
  • Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.
