About The Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in analyzing financial information and providing accurate and insightful reports to assist in the decision making process. This position requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of cost accounting principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting
  • Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Proficient in cost accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data and provide detailed reports on product costs, variances, and profitability
  • Monitor and evaluate inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain standard costing system for all products and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve cost control measures
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
  • Identify areas of potential cost savings and recommend strategies for improvement
