About The Position

The Human Resources Payroll & Benefits Specialist plays a central role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while also managing the company’s benefits programs with precision and care. This position blends technical payroll expertise with a people-first HR mindset, supporting employees throughout the full lifecycle of compensation and benefits.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and benefits compliance.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, preferably with Paycom Payroll System
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in a multi-state payroll environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payrolls for all employees with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure 401(k) files for bi-weekly payroll and accurately sent to administrator
  • Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, leaves of absence and pay changes.
  • Audit timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies with managers and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Prepare payroll reports for Leaders as needed
  • Manage year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 distribution and tax filings.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans.
  • Coordinate open enrollment, benefits changes, and employee education sessions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely enrollment and termination processing in the HRIS Benefit Platform
  • Work with vendors and brokers to manage plan updates, billing, and compliance.
  • Assist with 401(k) and SOC audits annually
  • Coordinate interviews and background checks for applicants and new hires
