No option for remote or hybrid Summary The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing accurate, timely payroll for over 1,000 employees across six operating companies, including a workforce that is 80% non‑exempt light industrial and 20% exempt corporate staff located primarily in TX, NV, MD, and OK. This role supports bi‑weekly payroll processing, audits, compliance, and payroll data integrity within Workday, while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and Operations. The Payroll Analyst will also support the administration of leaves, wage adjustments, garnishments, and year‑end reporting. Strong technical skills—particularly in Workday, MS Excel, and ADP Smart Compliance—are essential for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5 years of payroll experience, including 2+ years of Workday payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of timekeeping, shift differentials, overtime calculations, and multi‑state payroll rules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (CSV files, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing payroll in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ADP Smart Compliance.
  • Familiarity with Dormakaba timecard systems.
  • Experience conducting payroll audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prior involvement in multi‑state payroll across Texas, Nevada, Maryland, and Oklahoma.
  • Payroll certifications: CPP or FPC (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and audit bi‑weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states and operating companies.
  • Review, verify, and input timesheets/hours for accuracy; audit timecards and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain payroll records including salary updates, status changes, benefit deductions/calculations, and job changes.
  • Process employee terminations, pay adjustments, bonuses, relocation payments, sign‑on bonuses, commissions, and other one-off payroll events.
  • Enter and maintain payroll-related data across Workday and other relevant systems.
  • Administer and track employee leaves of absence according to company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist in processing and administering garnishments, VOEs, and other employment‑related documentation.
  • Create, maintain, and document payroll SOPs.
  • Build, maintain, and run payroll reports as needed for HR, Finance, and management.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to manage year‑end processes including W‑2 distribution and ACA reporting.
  • Support the Finance team by completing and submitting new tax code requests.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee payroll and sensitive company information.
