About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Payroll Specialist to join our laid-back yet hardworking team. This role goes beyond standard payroll processing—you’ll dive into data, validate reports, and ensure accuracy through reconciliation and problem-solving. If you love working in Excel and have a knack for spotting discrepancies, this is the perfect fit.

Requirements

Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
2–5 years payroll experience (full cycle, multi-state, 300+ employees).
Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data validation.
Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with payroll systems (UKG/UltiPro, Kronos; ADP helpful).
Team player: easygoing, collaborative, but focused on getting work done.
Curious, proactive, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Accounting knowledge a plus (journal entries, reconciliations).

Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll for 300+ multi-state employees using UKG/UltiPro.
Pull and validate payroll reports—manually recreate reports in Excel to confirm accuracy.
Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with journal entries (training provided).
Manage Time & Attendance and maintain precise payroll records.
Research and resolve payroll inquiries with a customer service mindset.
Support audits for retirement plans and workers’ compensation.
