Position Mission: Primary function of this position is for day to day support and system maintenance within Workday with a focus on Payroll Data transactions and reporting. This individual will serve as a point of contact and escalation point for the Payroll team in response to Workday configuration, functionality and reporting requests. They will be responsible for documenting system processes and procedures and assist in guiding and training the end users within Payroll. This position is also responsible for analyzing and auditing payroll information, tax compliance, managing internal and external payroll related reporting, performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and experience with Workday and ADP preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Workday production environment while partnering with Payroll and HR Services team to investigate inquiries and develop detailed resolution for the end user as an escalation point.
  • Partner with Payroll, HR Services/HRIS and IT team members to work through system issues.
  • Help maintain data integrity and accuracy in Payroll related systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Process improvement and solutioning of issues as they occur
  • Apply creative thinking, individual initiative, and a call for action and urgency
  • Assist in the review, testing, implementation, and training of Payroll related system upgrades and/or off-cycle updates.
  • Create documentation of enhanced processes, procedures, and results and assist in training coordination to appropriate audience using various modes of communication.
  • Provide and create basic Payroll training materials
  • Help support integrations and issue logs between Workday and other internal and external systems/vendors.
  • Support and execute system reporting to provide reports, metrics and dashboards to business partners, managers and executives to utilize Workday analytically.
  • Assist in managing year-end processing, includes maintaining compliance with and assisting with issuing annual W-2’s.
  • Complete assigned complex account reconciliations.
  • Assist with audits and other miscellaneous research projects as requested.
  • Responsible for prompt and relevant communication to leadership teams on payroll related matters including in-depth P&L related questions.
  • Manage internal and external payroll related reporting, including payroll related surveys.
  • Ensure the payroll manual is maintained regularly and kept up to date.
  • Complete assigned general ledger journal entries.
  • Payroll tax compliance and auditing.
  • Maintain compliance for existing and new markets in areas such as tax code.
  • Identify and implement procedure modifications and process changes and improvements as needed.
