About The Position

First National Bank of America is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join the Human Resources team. This role is responsible for managing and administering the company's payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with all regulations. The Payroll Administrator involves reviewing payroll records, processing payments, handling payroll-related compliance issues, and generating reports. Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience managing an in-house manual payroll system
  • Experience with commissions, payroll processing, and HR compliance
  • Strong aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computations, and other payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including check printing, reconciliation, and distribution
  • Generate and issue employee paychecks, commissions, statements of earnings, and deductions
  • Process paperwork for new employees and enter relevant information into the payroll system
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including exemptions, transfers, and resignations
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, providing clear and concise explanations
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, wage/hour requirements, and record retention standards
