About The Position

Member of the Payroll/Accounting team that is responsible for all aspects of gross to net payroll production in a multi-state, high volume, fast paced environment. This position will encompass trouble shooting, analysis and customer service for multiple locations as it relates to payroll, and high volume data entry and validation. Position requires complete reconciliation of payroll computations including Federal, State and Local tax deductions and distribution of pay statements and education to associates for electronic pay statements. This position is part of a highly collaborative team environment with a focus on customer service and business efficiency.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll tax regulations
• Self-starter who is detail oriented and comfortable adhering to deadlines in a team environment
• Understand mathematical principles to calculate wage and withholding data
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
• Ability to react quickly and effectively to customer needs
• Flexibility and commitment to meet individual and team objectives
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior Lawson experience preferred
• KRONOS experience a plus
• Some college preferred

Responsibilities

• Full gross to net payroll production processing for 30+ multi state locations
• Complete payroll reconciliation of gross to net computations and tax deductions
• Provide customer service to managers and associates
• Contact management at location for missed punches, exception approvals and any other needs as the arise
• Investigate and complete requests for off cycle payments
• Research and calculate retro pay as applicable
• Execute various reports and queries utilizing available system tools to assist in maintaining the integrity of the payroll system
• High volume data entry and validation
• Other duties as assigned
