The Payroll Accountant position will perform duties to include processing of union reporting monthly to all locals. Completing reconciliation of all union payroll GL accounts. This role will assist in providing customer service, technical support, timecard entry error checking and quality control weekly. Responsibilities include processing Union reporting and payments. Updating union pay rate increases and facilitating union audits. Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 1. Analyzes, prepares and input payroll union benefit reporting monthly. 2. Ensures compliance with all local union agreements. 3. Update pay rate and benefits increases per union schedule. 4. Correspond with new locals to ensure smooth set up. 5. Partner with project site to ensure local setup accuracy 6. Performs various journal entries, accounts reconciliations, and provides general ledger support. 7. Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. 8. Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with Union benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support. 9. Process union benefit payments into accounting system. 10. Work with Payroll Manager in providing necessary reports and documentation for union audits as needed. 11. GL reconciliations for all union payroll accrual accounts. 12. Assists Payroll Manager with various research projects and/or special projects 13. Other duties as assigned.
