Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum four years of payroll accounting experience
  • Knowledge of AP/AR, financial statements, bank reconciliations, and GAAP

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • supervisory or lead experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle payroll processing, including timecard collection, auditing, data entry, and payroll transmission
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Reconcile tax liabilities, GL withholding accounts, and insurance schedules
  • Support annual audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation
  • Assist with payroll tax returns and deposits
  • Maintain payroll bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Audit and reconcile PTO balances for accuracy
  • Train staff on payroll procedures and support new hires
  • Maintain organized payroll records and reporting schedules
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
