About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payments Operations Specialist to join our team on a long-term temporary basis. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing for Corporate One’s member payment activity. The ideal candidate brings hands-on payments experience, particularly with wire transfers and OFAC compliance, and thrives working independently under tight deadlines. This position offers the flexibility to work from home while supporting extended operating hours through a rotating weekly schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in banking or credit union operations preferred. Payments and wire transfer experience are strongly preferred.
  • OFAC compliance experience, including reviewing alerts, documenting decisions, and performing due diligence
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, accurate, analytical and ability to work accurately under deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset when supporting member credit unions
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining responsive and accountable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Familiarity with Internet, Fedline-web/FedAdvantage and domestic wire transfers. Demonstrated working knowledge of systems needed to access and process member transactions; specifically FedAdvantage and incoming and outgoing wire database and the Internet including US Treasury for OFAC compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor wire transfer and real-time payment (RTP) queues to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Process domestic wire transfers in accordance with established procedures, regulatory requirements, and service level standards.
  • Perform OFAC compliance on domestic wire transactions, document decisions, and conduct due diligence on potential violations and matches. Escalate issues to the OFAC Lead, when appropriate. Assist in monitoring all relevant transactions for potential OFAC violations or suspicious activity.
  • Assist with data entry validation for international checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supports member credit unions by addressing processing inquiries.
  • Perform end-of-day balancing and reconciliation to ensure payment accuracy and system integrity.
  • Support additional payments-related tasks and projects as needed.
