About The Position

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a Payments & Benefits Representative to join our U.S. Life Operations team. In this role, you will provide world-class customer service while servicing in-force policy contracts via telephone, email, and written requests. You'll handle inquiries from policyholders, government entities, and agents, process disbursements (loans, surrenders, outgoing 1035 transfers), manage payment processing, and update policy records. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in customer service (telephone), life insurance, or related industry
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications and basic functions
  • Basic math and accounting skills
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently and adjust to changing business needs, including overtime and Saturdays
  • Commitment to quality, deadlines, and delivering exceptional customer service

Nice To Haves

  • completion of LOMA 280/281 or Level 1 within 12 months of employment are highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Respond to telephone inquiries clearly and professionally, ensuring resolution before the call ends
  • Address email requests within 24 hours, providing accurate and courteous responses
  • Processing Process written requests and payments by managing assigned work queues
  • Ensure all requests are completed within established processing standards
  • Inforce Illustrations Request inforce illustrations through the Mutual Trust Agent Website or via a Math Analyst
  • 1099 Inquiries Respond to and explain any 1099-related inquiries throughout the year
