About The Position

The Payment Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of debit and credit card processing, ATM fleet management, fraud monitoring, ACH, wire transfers, mobile deposits, and shared branching. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant payment services while leading a team and managing vendor relationships. The manager plays a critical role in risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and maintaining service excellence. We’re seeking a candidate who understands the fundamentals of payment operations and consistently demonstrates initiative. Ideally, this individual will have a proactive mindset, excel in time management, and willingly step in to support the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8 years of experience in payment services operations.
  • Proven supervisory experience with a focus on team development and performance.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables); proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to manage competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Wisdom and Correlation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Payment Services staff, including coordinators and fraud specialists.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for complex transactions and member issues.
  • Manage daily electronic payments, wire transfers, mobile deposits, and digital wallet processes.
  • Ensure compliance with EFT, NACHA, BSA, OFAC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee reconciliation of new account payments, return deposit items, and general ledger closings.
  • Maintain and update department procedures; prepare audit reports and conduct business continuity testing.
  • Monitor fraud trends and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support budget development and monitor departmental performance metrics.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance management for staff.
