About The Position

Provide oversight and leadership to the programs that encompass Sheetz payment solutions, in support of the organization's overall goals and market needs. Manage the strategy and roadmap of the payment ecosystem by facilitating acceptance of new and existing payment vehicles, developing partnerships that drive customer counts, sales, and margins, and defining business plans and requirements for the prioritization of all payment related enhancements to achieve the vision of allowing customers payment preferences in a cost-effective and convenient way. Responsible to create and deliver the business plan for payments, providing oversight and evaluation of market trends, product development, product position, and philosophy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience relationship management and contract negotiation, with a demonstrated record of successfully managing complex partnerships and strategic agreements required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience required.

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Previous experience in payment acceptance or payment operations, including implementing new payment vehicles and supporting payment acquisition and settlement processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
  • Create, implement, and track strategies and roadmaps within the payment ecosystem that focus on the goals of reducing cost of acceptance and increasing ease-of-payment for customers.
  • Manage partner relationships to create value propositions that will optimize cost of payment acceptance and drive incremental customer counts, sales, and margin including, but not limited to, cobrand credit card, ATMs, Sheetz Gift Cards, Payment Processor, etc.
  • Participate actively in Payments industry groups to stay abreast of new and upcoming technologies and changing regulations and serve as the corporate expert on Payments.
  • Identify new business opportunities related to the payment industry to increase the methods of payment that we offer our customers and reduce cost of acceptance.
  • Partner with Information Technology, Brand, and Consumer Digital teams to develop programs and payment options.
  • Responsible to negotiate contracts for preferable financial and service terms for acceptance, issuance, and services contracts; collaborate with legal team to execute contractual agreements.
  • Oversee RFP’s and evaluate all information as it relates to payment contracts and new or prospective business relationships and innovative payment products.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Technology teams to ensure delivery of operational procedures and systems to meet sales goals and operational efficiency.
