About The Position

We’re excited to offer a Hybrid Accounting Specialist opportunity with a well‑established, reputable organization in Milwaukee! This role plays a key part in ensuring premium payments are processed accurately and efficiently. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid eligible)

Requirements

1+ year of office environment experience
Ability to research, reconcile, and resolve transactional discrepancies
Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines in a production-focused environment
Business math and familiarity with general accounting principles
10‑key proficiency
Experience using MS Office, especially Excel
Comfortable with payment verification and multi‑system navigation

Responsibilities

Review check payment information within the lockbox payment portal
Reconcile check amounts with supporting documentation
Ensure lockbox batch totals match entries in the internal cash system
Document exceptions clearly and accurately
Review payment documentation for completeness and accuracy
Perform multi-step premium processing procedures across internal systems, databases, and external websites
Research and resolve discrepancies
Identify situations needing customer outreach and provide details to the appropriate team
Recognize maintenance transactions and communicate them to the Policy Servicing team
Support payment application processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
