About The Position

At Mandarich Law Group, LLP, we are looking for great people to bring their passion and strong work ethic to the job. We are a creditors' rights law firm located in downtown Chicago. We are currently seeking a full-time position in our Payment Processing Cenger functioning as an Associate Legal 1. Days are usually Monday – Friday. Overtime hours are expected and required. Our motto is “we go in as a team and leave as a team”. Our firm is seeking a payment processing professional who exercises due care and speed to perform accounting tasks related to consumer account maintenance including processing, posting, and depositing all payments received from all sources of consumer payment mechanisms. Our payment processing center processes a high volume of consumer payments and this professional will be part of a team within our Accounting Group.

Requirements

Either obtained Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree, seeking an Accounting/Business degree or has equivalent job experience in accounting or payment processing.
Ability to work long hours on certain days of the week
Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks to efficiently process a high volume of transactions.
Ability to work independently but work in a team environment to close out the day’s processing of payments.

Responsibilities

Coding of payment to consumer account based on available information which may require additional due diligence for accurate coding
Consumer payments are correctly applied in accordance with client requirements and consumer’s account information provided in our system of record including with terms of agreement with Court or consumer
Post checks to our System of Record/ data entry
Exercise due care and perform due diligence to research and resolve discrepancies or issues
Become a subject matter expert when responding to client and consumer requests including providing supporting documentation for audits or for responding to requests from clients, consumers, attorneys or internal requests
Become a team member who will demonstrate a team concept when processing, posting and depositing the day’s payments and consistently apply this concept every day.
Assist with other projects as needed
