About The Position

The Wire Specialist, in the Payment Operations department, performs all daily processing functions related to wire transfers and other administrative activities in accordance with Alpine Bank’s procedures. This role assists bank staff and customers with wire transfer needs, processes incoming and outgoing wires, and researches and completes investigations related to wire transfers. The specialist also completes currency orders and assists with various other wire-related duties. They work closely and collaboratively with their supervisor, branch locations, and various other internal departments. Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time while meeting specific and structured timelines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a desire for professional growth.
  • Willing to train fellow employees and cross-train within the department.
  • Understands the importance of being able to maintain confidential information.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year banking experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional post-high school courses are preferred.
  • Relevant certifications are preferred.
