About The Position

Provides excellent customer service while securing loans to businesses and individuals with personal property items such as jewelry used as collateral and making sales of a wide variety of items throughout the store.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Possess basic computer knowledge/skills
Basic math and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented
Remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure
Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
Ability to speak effectively and articulately with a diverse group of customers
Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers
Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Delivers excellent customer service to every customer who walks through the door
Provides loans via pawn
To accurately determine loan amounts: At a minimum, be proficient with pricing general merchandise Understand and apply systems used to value gold and other jewelry Accurately use Pawn Master for all transactions
Accepts payments on pawns, sales and layaways
Retrieves items back to those who have repaid loans
Salesperson: Be knowledgeable of items in the store Engage and satisfy the customer while negotiating the best price for the Company Provide product demonstrations, as requested
Adheres to industry regulations
Actively involved in security procedures in accordance with the Security Procedures Manual
Responsible for following processes detailed in procedures manuals.
Ensures all merchandise is properly labeled and stored
Participates in keeping the store neat and clean
Pulls merchandise from storage as it comes out of hold or pawn and clean it as needed in preparation for being on the sales floor
Handles all merchandise respectfully
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
