The City of Easton, Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for entry-level Police Officer. This is a civil service employment category governed by applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Easton. A Twenty Five ($25) NON-REFUNDABLE application fee made out to The City of Easton, paid ONLY by cashier's check or money order or personal check, must be remitted at the time of application. Applications may be printed off the City’s website www.easton-pa.gov or may be obtained at City Hall, 123 South Third Street, Easton, PA in the Human Resources Office, 3nd Floor. Deadline for receipt of completed applications is 4:00pm Friday March 20, 2026 in the Human Resources Office either by mail post marked for March 20, 2026 or hand-hand delivered. Only those persons who have submitted a completed application along with a paid application fee by the deadline of 4:00 p.m. March 20, 2026, will be eligible to participate in the testing process. The physical agility and written portion of the test will take place on Saturday March 28, 2026. More information will be mailed out to eligible candidates closer to that date. Photo Identification (e.g., driver's license) will be required for admission to written examination. The 2026 salary for Probationary Officer is $61,896.68 while in academy. 1st year Patrol Office is $75,907.64 upon completion of ACT 120 certification.
