Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. This position is within our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) department. Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) plays a critical role in ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. LCE is comprised of multiple disciplines that provide essential support to engineering teams, program offices, and our customers. These disciplines are engaged throughout the entire product life cycle, from conception through deactivation, with a primary focus on product support across Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience with either Supply Chain and/or Planning or Production Control.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or similar.
  • Experience with SAP, PRISM (material and inventory control) or other ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning) systems.
  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes
  • Proficient with MS Excel to include formula application and pivot tables
  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, to accomplish tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, inspire confidence in others, effectively communicate with program personnel, peers, functional leadership, customer representatives and government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Track production aspects of contractual spares material for all programs and report status to program management team.
  • Load material requirements into PRISM (Manufacturing & Process Integration System) via MSALT (Material Planning System), knowledge of both systems is highly desired.
  • Track material shortages for purchase and internal manufacturing orders.
  • Resolve quality issues, releasing packaging orders for finished products, and ensuring material is shipped to GXO Warehouse for handoff to DFS (Deployment, Fielding and Sustainment) team for DD250 Final Sell off to the US government.
  • Work within KINAXIS (supply chain planning system) to determine piece parts and estimated completion dates for all parts to support production planning and Next Higher Assembly activities
  • Understand bill of material and create demands for purchase components and internally manufactured components
