About The Position

The Patient Transporter is responsible for safely transporting inpatients for procedures in Radiology. This involves moving patients via bed, stretcher, or wheelchair, while ensuring patient safety and dignity are maintained at all times. The role requires interaction with the patient's caregivers to notify them when the patient is being taken for a procedure and upon their return to their room, providing a hand-off with the Ticket to Ride form.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• BLS is required within 30 days of the hire date

• Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely transport inpatients for procedures in Radiology
• Transport patients via bed, stretcher, or wheelchair
• Maintain patient safety and dignity at all times
• Interact with the patient's caregivers to notify them the patient is being taken down for a procedure
• Notify the caregivers upon the patient's return to their room
• Provide hand-off with the Ticket to Ride form
