About The Position

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient (IOP) programs as well. Wellstone is currently looking to fill a full-time Facility Van Driver position (40 hours per week.) The Facility Van Driver performs a variety of tasks, including transporting of patients, basic preventive maintenance of vehicles, and have a basic understanding of CPI principles. This position will also include some Mental Health Assistant responsibiliites. These responsibilities will include being an active part of the treatment team, providing patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients in the outpatient program as well as providing administrative support for the IOP, including performing clerical duties, Mental Health Assistant/Van Driver will work under the direction of the Director of Outpatient. This is a non-exempt hourly, Monday thru Friday position.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent; two years of technical or trade school preferred but not required.
  • Must have experience in operating a variety of vehicles.
  • Must have an understanding of Indiana/Kentucky state driving laws and regulations, be able to read or follow driving directions as well as experience with driving 12-passenger vans, due to the longer wheel base.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must complete CPR/CPI certification; internal driving test.
  • This is a full-time, 40-hour, Monday thru Friday position.
