About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Transportation Manager to oversee the Patient Transportation department at Onvida Heath, formerly known as Yuma Regional Medical Center. As the Patient Transportation Manager, you will supervise 30 employees transporting patients within the hospital to various testing areas and/or being discharged, this position reports to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have worked in either a hospital or healthcare environment as a manager in either EVS/Housekeeping and/or Patient Transportation. Excellent writing, technology, analytics, verbal and presentation skills required. Onvida Health is a not-for-profit, 430-bed facility and the only full-ervice acute care hospital between Phoenix and San Diego. It is nationally known for its leading-edge technology, excellent patient-family centered care, and high employee satisfaction. The hospital is staffed by 3,000 employees, over 400 medical practitioners, and hundreds of volunteers dedicated to serving the residents and visitors of Yuma and the surrounding area

Requirements

  • experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state and Joint Commission standards
  • knowledge of patient care services in a healthcare setting
  • the ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management
  • experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • proficiency with computers and other technology
  • strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 years Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in functional areas such as call center technology, computer applications, process improvement, or related areas

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and inspect transport equipment (stretchers and wheelchairs), as well as related logistics, documentation and reporting
  • Create a positive patient experience by setting the tone and culture of patient expectations, including the provision of concierge transport services, through a compassionate bedside manner
  • Respond to and/or managing calls through the Service Response Center
  • Be responsible for driving patient satisfaction scores
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff
  • Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce
