Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience desired.
• Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly.
• Ability to perform occasional crouching, kneeling, and repetitive motion.
• Frequent grasping, hearing, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, talking, and walking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the 'Face of Bassett' to patients and visitors, providing outstanding service and friendliness.
• Transfer patients throughout the hospital complex safely and effectively.
• Track, coordinate, and deliver necessary equipment throughout the hospital.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Respond to requests for services promptly and with the patient's privacy and wellbeing in mind.
• Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, and escorts, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Assist with discharging patients and ensure all paperwork is completed.
• Maintain and inspect equipment for cleanliness and proper assembly prior to patient use.
• Report safety issues and equipment repair needs promptly.
• Provide services in handling deceased patients and ensure proper documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and comply with all policies related to patient information safeguarding.
