About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Twinsburg Family Health & Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing world-class care through advanced specialty care, primary care, and surgical services. This is a Summer Intern position, perfect for college students looking to gain healthcare experience during their break. As a Temporary Nonexempt Worker, you will assist with administrative, clerical, patient service, or operational support duties. The ideal future caregiver is someone who is comfortable engaging with patients and visitors, is team-oriented, reliable, flexible, effectively multitasks while paying attention to details and staying organized, and demonstrates a strong work ethic. This role will allow you to create a foundation in healthcare within a collaborative, supportive, and respectful work environment. Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center founded in 1921, integrating clinical and hospital care with research and education. It has grown to include locations throughout the U.S. and other countries, with a 6,500-bed health system, a 173-acre main campus, 19 hospitals, and over 220 outpatient facilities worldwide.

Requirements

  • Comfortable engaging with patients and visitors.
  • Team-oriented, reliable and flexible.
  • Effectively multitasks while paying attention to details and staying organized.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Some positions may require additional education or training.
  • May require critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Experience required will vary by assigned department and position.

Responsibilities

  • While following all department procedures and guidelines, completes daily assignments, projects or tasks.
  • Maintains equipment, files, databases.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities or meetings then recommends actions to improve results.
  • Once trained and assigned, assists with patient service functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
