The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic. The job is structured into "stations," each with distinct duties typically performed by one employee. However, all PSS employees are required and expected to assist co-workers in performing all PSS job duties at all times and will be expected to learn and perform all duties of all front office stations. Some listed duties may not be performed daily depending on office layouts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Demonstrated strong copywriting and editing skills are essential
  • Requires attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet time-sensitive priorities
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to be flexible, according to changing priorities
  • Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills with a wide variety of personalities
  • Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required
  • Clear results of a thorough background screening
  • Receipt of various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption
  • Subject to drug/nicotine testing (FCS is a drug-free and tobacco/nicotine free workplace)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the healthcare field is highly preferred
  • Second language is an asset but not required
