The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for the front-end business operations of an assigned clinic, including patient registration, demographic information verification, and electronic chart management. This role involves handling incoming calls, scheduling intake appointments within specified timeframes using the CBI EHR/EPM system, and obtaining necessary patient information such as name, address, phone, email, and insurance details. The specialist also performs insurance verifications for each visit, identifies patient amounts due, and for uninsured patients, identifies potential funding sources and refers them for AHCCCS screening and application. They notify clinical team members upon registration completion and schedule follow-up appointments as directed by the clinical team.
