The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic. The job is divided into 'stations,' each with distinct duties, but every PSS employee is required and expected to assist co-workers in performing all PSS job duties at all times. All PSS hires will be expected to learn and perform all duties of all front office stations. The role requires strong copywriting and editing skills, attention to detail, ability to consistently meet time-sensitive priorities, and being highly organized and flexible according to changing priorities. Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Demonstrated strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet time-sensitive priorities
  • Highly organized with the ability to be flexible, according to changing priorities
  • Experience in the healthcare field is highly preferred
  • Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills with a wide variety of personalities
  • Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings
  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy
  • Clear results of a thorough background screening
  • Receipt of various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine (barring an approved exemption)
  • Subject to drug/nicotine testing (must be drug and tobacco/nicotine free)
