Position Summary The Patient Services Representative (PSR) represent the face of Proliance Surgeons and the first impression for our patients and their loved ones. The PSR acts as a liaison associate for patient appointments, accommodation, and access to the physician. This includes booking appointments including follow-ups, greeting patients, using appropriate medical terminology while verifying eligibility, processing necessary information to support that activity, and triaging with physicians and medical assistants on acute scheduling problems. Schedule: Monday to Friday 10:30am to 7pm

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately type and enter data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective
  • Cooperation, flexibility
  • Skill in organizing information that is accurate and complete
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff
  • Ability to prepare records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Consistency and timeliness in attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Reception experience:1-2 years (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling MRI appointments
  • Check in/register patients, verify and update patient information
  • Facilitate flow of patients by coordinating with the MRI technologist
  • Other tasks such as filing records, faxing, taking phone calls, etc.
