About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead the Patient Services team within an acute care hospital environment. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient meal service, ensuring breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delivered accurately, safely, and in alignment with prescribed diets, patient preferences, and regulatory standards. The Patient Services Manager plays a key role in driving patient satisfaction, staff development, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in food services or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree in food service technology, food service management, or a related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care or healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records (EMR), and diet office systems

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (RDT), or Registered Dietitian (RD) credential preferred
  • ServSafe® certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish patient food service goals and oversee the implementation of meal service programs based on medical directives and the needs of the patient population
  • Hire, coach, train, schedule, and develop patient services team members to support high performance and service quality
  • Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and therapeutic or modified diets, while supporting patient food preferences within diet order guidelines
  • Lead and support patient services staff in achieving departmental and hospital patient satisfaction goals
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
  • Participate in and/or lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to support safe, accurate, and timely patient meal service
