About The Position
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for Patient Service Representatives (PSRs): Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSR position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. This is a 24-hour per week position. MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - Biddeford | MaineHealth is looking for a Patient Service Specialist. As a PSS in Orthopedics, you'll be the friendly expert who helps patients navigate their care with ease. From coordinating appointments to supporting a fast-paced clinical team, you'll play a key role in helping patients get back to doing what they love. What you'll do:
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Six months of medical office experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage patient scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes
- Answer phones and assist with appointment coordination
- Verify insurance and process referrals
- Support the clinical team with administrative tasks to keep the practice running smoothly
