Since opening our first medical center in 1981, Patient First's vision remains the same: making access to quality medical care as convenient and cost-effective as possible. To achieve this objective, we have adopted and continue to embrace many innovative operating systems and practices. All 78 Patient First centers in the mid-Atlantic region are open every day of the year- including weekends and holidays. Patient First provides both primary and urgent care services as well as a broad range of Occupational Health services. X-rays, lab tests, and prescription drugs are available on-site to save time and reduce the need for extra trips. The Patient Service Representative role involves assisting patients with kiosks, handling emergency cases, managing physician/nurse requests, accurately registering patients with excellent customer service, verifying patient information, communicating billing policies, answering billing questions, collecting payments, discharging patients, completing cash management duties, obtaining change, printing statements, handling correspondence, filing/scanning documents, completing checklists, answering calls, assisting the Patient Service Coordinator, understanding the electronic medical record system, stocking supplies, cleaning, running daily reports, attending meetings, and being available to assist as needed, even if it interrupts breaks. The role also involves operating and maintaining medical and office equipment, participating in maintenance, fostering teamwork, and providing positive service while adhering to policies.
