About The Position
Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) are crucial to Franciscan Health's Physician Offices, serving as the initial point of contact for patients, family members, and caregivers. They represent the Franciscan Physician Network by providing information, direction, and support. This role involves collaboration with providers, management, and clinical staff to coordinate patient schedules and offer administrative support. A key aspect is compassionately discussing patient responsibilities regarding copayments, prepayments, and outstanding balances. Franciscan Health is a non-profit Catholic healthcare ministry with primary and specialty care physician groups across Indiana and Illinois, known for its mission of caring and values including Respect for Life, Fidelity to Our Mission, Compassionate Concern, Joyful Service, and Christian Stewardship. It operates 12 hospital ministries and over 260 locations, employing over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls; respond to inquiries, schedule appointments or direct caller to appropriate staff for assistance.
- Work within an electronic medical records system.
- Collect patient payments; applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.
- Additional daily administrative tasks based on practice specialty.
