About The Position

The Patient Service Representative will have the primary responsibility to greet, instruct, direct, answer phones, and schedule patients. This role serves as a liaison between the patient and medical support staff. CarolinaEast Health System is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care throughout the Coastal Carolina region, operating a 350-bed medical center with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services and utilizing advanced medical technologies. The system employs over 3,200 team members and manages physician practices across various specialties in four counties. CarolinaEast fosters a culture of excellence, ensuring patients receive high-level care in a friendly, community-centered environment. CarolinaEast Physicians comprises over 150 physicians and mid-level providers offering care across four eastern North Carolina Counties, with specialties including Primary Care, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Gastroenterology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Word Processing and computer experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare medical clinic setting or customer service
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
