About The Position

St. Anthony Summit Hospital is a Level III trauma center, nationally recognized for patient experience and named a Top 100 Hospital. It is a Pathway to Excellence-designated hospital, offering a full range of medical specialties and healthcare services to Summit County and the surrounding region, including emergency/trauma, critical care, orthopedics, and more. The hospital also operates emergency mountain clinics and urgent/primary care clinics. This role is for a Patient Service Representative Lead who will partner with clinic leadership to oversee the patient service team. The position involves providing clerical and office support within a physician clinic, including reception, telephone duties, medical records management, charge entry, referrals, and retrieval of medical information. The Lead will also support by facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families to meet patient needs, while demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous work history that demonstrates basic office and computer skills, filing, telephone answering, reception, basic knowledge of computer software i.e. Microsoft Word, E-mail, Excel ,etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Desire to work with patient populations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in an outpatient clinic or physician office.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clinic leadership to assist with oversight of the patient service team.
  • Provide clerical/office support within a physician clinic, including, but not limited to reception, telephone, medical records, charge entry, referrals, and retrieval of medical information from internal and external systems and sources.
  • Offer support by facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship- based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Benefits

  • $400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek, Lake, and Chaffee Counties.
