Provide a variety of patient and customer service related activities within the Ambulatory Department Will assist the Department with general duties to include; but not limited to, greeting patients and the public, answering and screening telephone calls, daily patient reminder calls, scheduling patient appointments, checking patients in, checking patients out, obtaining accurate patient demographic information, preparing the medical records, order entry and serving as the liaison between the patient and medical support staff. Filing, balancing charges and collections at the end of each day, making daily deposits, and accounts receivable, billing and insurance functions. Performs general office duties such as data entry and office and medical supply ordering. Assist with reports, JCAHO/DNV requirements, chart audits and other duties as directed.
