About The Position

Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Services Coordinator- Transportation Team- Remote in VA. This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours) with work hours from 8am to 5pm EST, M-F. The role is remote in VA with quarterly travel to the VA Beach office for priority meetings. Requirements

  • HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
  • Healthcare- Previous Experience REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Health Plan, Medical and/or Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • Jiva or EHR/EMR experience preferred
  • Government Program or Commercial experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Processing requests for over mileage transportation requests/reimbursement/caregiver benefit in JIVA
  • Processing food and lodging requests as related to transportation request
  • Coordinating with members to identify providers within the 50-mile radius
  • Issuing administrative denials for services related with providers
