Patient mobility associate performs mobility techniques in accordance to the departmental protocols and standards. Educate the patient and family on the need to reposition. Encourage patients who can reposition independently to do so. Also responsible to the timely courteous and competent transportation of patients as needed. Perform messenger services such as retrieval and delivery or products and/or equipment to appropriate areas, provide assistance to all nursing/ancillary personnel to facilitate patient care activities Essential Job Duties: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Identify the patients who require turning and repositioning Provide explanation to the patient you are planning to reposition Identify conditions causing patients not to reposition themselves The above job description is an overview of the functions and requirements for this position.
