About The Position

Come join our team to support our therapists and patients as a Mobility Tech! This position will provide mobility activities to our inpatient division that have or are at risk for debility. Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrate strong detail orientation with the ability to adapt to change
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Have previous experience in a healthcare/medical setting if preferred
  • Prior degree or certification in exercise, physiology and/or health-related field is preferred; prior nursing or CNA experience is highly preferred
  • Display a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Walking with patients to prevent hospital-acquired debility
  • Providing passive range of motion exercises to upper and lower extremities of non-responsive, comatose, and sedated patients
  • Providing basic active range of motion exercises to upper extremities and lower extremities of patients who can actively participate
  • Documenting patient participation, relaying pertinent information, and reporting status changes to the licensed therapy and nursing staff
  • Communicating with therapy and nursing staff about scheduled patient activities
  • Issuing pre-made exercise handouts for patients to continue exercising after discharge
  • Entering data related to overall team productivity
  • Participating in quality assurance, program evaluation, infection control, and safety issues
