The LPN, Proficient, Inpatient, under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee and the co-assigned Registered Nurse, is accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. The LPN, Proficient, Inpatient contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. The LPN, Proficient, Inpatient works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Become part of a dynamic, collaborative care team responsible for medical patients, patient and staff satisfaction is a priority. The Patient Mobility Specialist under the direction of a registered nurse facilitates patient mobility and ambulation by (1) walking patients (2) transferring patients bed to chair (3) repositioning patients (4) performing range of motion. The Mobility Specialist utilizes patient handling equipment, transfer devices, and protective equipment in accordance with guidelines and vendor specification. Current med/surg experience. Demonstrates problem solving and good communication skills. Ability to be creative and work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment. Requirements

  • Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program
  • active New York State LPN license in good standing
  • Current med/surg experience
  • Demonstrates problem solving and good communication skills
  • Ability to be creative and work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment
