Patient Intake Specialist
About The Position
New England Dermatology & Laser Center has been providing dermatology care to the greater Springfield community for over 70 years. We're looking for another Patient Intake Specialist who is a team player with conscientious work ethic to join our busy specialty practice. Heavy in-person patient interaction as part of the patient care team. Primary duties include: rooming patients, facilitating a positive patient office experience while maintaining efficiency of provider schedules; collecting and entering patient information for the provider encounter into EHR (medications, allergies, previous medical history/pathology, height, weight, etc.); completing medication reconciliation; noting patient’s concerns and chief complaint.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Professionalism, ability to communicate with patients and document patient information in designated EMR with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to dermatology and related disorders, medications and treatments for dermatology related conditions helpful.
